After MINI, Audi has now announced it. Audi boss Markus Duesmann has told German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that Audi is ending the development of combustion engines. The new European emission standard Euro 7 will extremely restrict combustion engines. Audi will only adapt existing combustion engines to the Euro 7 standard and will not develop new ones.

Duesmann also said that Audi plans to launch 20 electric models within five years.
