Peugeot e-2008 (2020-2023) pros and cons
Pros and Cons by Owners / Test Drives
-
DC charging up to 100 kW
5 EuroNCAP stars (the highest safety rating)
heat pump as standard
lots of headroom in the back, up to a height of 190 cm (see photo)
particularly good sound proofing of the interior (confirmed by measurement)
standard equipment includes AC charging 11 kW 3x16A
the center console has USB connectors type A and C (rear 2x USB A)
a deep glovebox
wireless charging
nice big storage compartment under the armrest
overall warranty of 5 years/60,000 km
infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Car Play
good build quality of the entire vehicle
ISOFIX also for the front passenger seat
the small yet powerful steering wheel is a pleasure to hold
battery warranty of 8 years/160,000 km (capacity must not drop below 70%)
traffic sign recognition
quite decent 3D digital cockpit
three driving modes: Eco, Normal and Sport
trunk capacity of 434 liters, the same as the combustion engine version
infotainment is slightly turned towards the driver
you cannot set the charging capacity limits, e.g., at 80%
the basic portable charger supplied into the common outlet can only 8A, i.e., full charging can last up to 25 hours (meaning you either have to buy a garage wallbox or a better portable charger)
it lacks adjustable lumbar support for the front seats
while driving, the display does not show the battery status in percentage, just the remaining range in kilometers, yet the large display has plenty of room for further information
the e-2008 is not purely an electro-platform, and I surmise that this causes the slightly higher consumption
the “piano black” center console - easy to get dirty and probably scratched over time
the cruise control is literally hidden under the steering wheel, so it takes a while to get used it being practically out of sight
only two modes of energy recovery (paddles under the steering wheel with more than two energy recovery modes are better solutions)
