Chevy Volt

I have had two Chevy Volts since 2014 and they have saved me a lot of gas money driving back and forth to DC.  But its value is purely as a commuting car that I can plug in at work and plug in at home.  It is not great for amenities and it is somewhat inconsistent in terms of range because of speed, driving style, what accessories are used, outside temperature, etc.   Finally, I have found the car does not hold value well at all.  In fact, when purchasing my second one after a not-really-that-bad accident totaled the first, I bought a used one and found that to be a much better value, despite not getting the tax credits.
